Yesterday and the days leading up to yesterday, Tibetans and supporters across Canada participated in various events to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the Tibetan Uprising; that fateful day on March 10, 1959 when thousands of Tibetans gathered in front of the Potala Palace in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, to protest China’s illegal occupation of Tibet.
